The following photos include shots of Patient 0 and two earlier bands Tess Majors and Hannah Fowler were in called “Failure to Communicate” and “Catharsis.” These bands were formed through the Highway to Rock program at Stacy’s Music Store in Charlottesville, which would bring in kids who might not know each other, all with different musical tastes, and let them figure out for themselves their play-list and arrangements with a minimum of adult interference. After several months of practice, Stacy’s would arrange a concert at a local venue. Tess and Hannah also took lessons at Stacy’s, a great place with great people who were good with kids.
